FIRST Robotics

FIRST Team 1708, headquartered at McKeesport Area High School strives to promote student involvement in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math using higher order and critical thinking skills to design, construct and program mechanical robotics for participation in FIRST robotics competitions and community outreach activities. We are a community team that supports students in grades 4-12 from McKeesport, Norwin, East Allegheny, Elizabeth Forward and PA Cyberschools to learn and grow their STEM skills by applying them to complex, real world problems to create competitive designs and mechanical systems.

Our mission is to nurture and train world-class, socially aware, globally connected, diverse individuals, with rigorous core knowledge and problem-solving skills, who are prepared to understand and solve complex problems.
